Shraddha Pandey’s journey in VITeach is a remarkable tale of passion, dedication, and leadership. Her involvement with VITeach began nearly two and a half years ago when she was inspired by the club’s mission of teaching children from government schools. She had always been passionate about social service, and the opportunity to contribute to bridging educational gaps deeply resonated with her. As a general member, she participated in various departments such as school, content, and outreach, gaining hands-on experience in creating learning resources and conducting sessions. She contributed to developing worksheets and PowerPoint presentations on subjects like spoken English and mathematics, ensuring that children had access to well-structured educational materials. Additionally, she was involved in conducting Python programming sessions for students , aiming to equip them with valuable technical skills that could open doors for their future.

As Shraddha’s dedication and contributions became more significant, she advanced into the junior core committee, taking on more strategic responsibilities. Her role as the school JCC required her to coordinate educational programs, manage volunteers, and oversee the smooth execution of initiatives. This experience helped her develop leadership and organizational skills, preparing her for even bigger responsibilities. Eventually, her commitment and ability to lead effectively led her to become the president of VITeach. In this capacity, she managed a team of 10 department heads and over 500 members, overseeing all club operations, planning events, handling finances, and liaising with faculty members to ensure the club’s smooth functioning.

One of the initiatives closest to her heart was an event where VITeach hosted the children of VIT’s housekeeping staff for a full day of learning and fun. The event was meticulously planned to provide an engaging educational experience, filled with interactive sessions designed to inspire and motivate these children. From coordinating volunteers to structuring the event’s agenda, Shraddha played a crucial role in ensuring its success. The joy and excitement on the children’s faces, along with the gratitude expressed by their parents, made all the effort worthwhile and reaffirmed her belief in the power of education to transform lives.

To avoid conflicts and ensure fair decision-making, she often relied on democratic processes such as polls and consensus-building discussions.
